As told to my mother, Aulta Claudine Meadows Cassetty by her great grandmother Mary Lou Crabtree Jones: During the US Civil War there were no new clothes available for us to buy. After the war, when new clothes became available, I helped my mother cut up our old clothes and make quilts for our family's use. This is one of those quilts.
