"In re; your inquiry in the Genealogical Helper according to family records my g-g-grandmother was a VanDyne. Her name was Amy Van Dyne born 22 Apr,,1801 & died 25 Mar,1896 She was married to Barney MARTIN who was born in county Cork,IRE * came to the US as a young man. He was a snare drummer in bands. They had the following children: Jane Eliza, Charles, John, Tom. Amy VanDyne MARTIN later md. a Mr. DRAY & they had two children - Ann & Nancy Jane Eliza md. John Wesley MYERS (my great grandfather). I have NOT researched this myself BUT received the information from a distant cousin. I am not sure of the state but believe it was Kentucky where they live." Signed Mary MILLER

In your answer to your letter concerning further research by my cousin, the cousin was my mother's and she has been dead for several yrs. I am sorry I don't know her relatives. If it is any help I can follow the lane back as I have it for my family. I have to admit I an NOT very good at this so I hope you will be able to figure it out. My mother was ETHEL JOSEPHINE MEYERS."

Died in Jun,1934 Cadilac,MI James Franklin Meyers father was - John Wesley MYERS b.25 Nov,1825 Covington,KY Died in Apr,1910 Michigan. (mother) was Jane Eliza MARTIN b.25 Nov,1824 died 21 May,1905 John Wesley's father was Jacob MEYERS (Ran a distillery & tavern in Covington,KY. Died of pheumonia after taking his freight fleet down the Ohio river). no dates John Wesley's mother - Julia M. PECK born in Kentucky Died 30 Dec.1864 at the age of 62. She md. [1ST] Jacob MEYERS, 2nd Mr. LOUTHER, 3rd to John SWARTHOUT."
