Theme
This page is simply a study of relationships and endogamy. At its base is an an average, middle-class family with no known pedigree going extending past two or three with the objective being to see how many ancestors and cousins relate to a select individual from the past. All humans on the planet are related and it is only a matter of how far back the relationship is found. Obviouslly, groups from the same island, isolated mountain valley, or even region of a continent are likely more closely related.
Here's an image. |
In order to be have some hope of success, it was necessary to find a subject of some fame in order to have sufficient genealogical information. Fame alone would not suffice for some lands such as Ireland where records are scarce for periods prior to 1800. With these factors in mind, the subject chosen is Mary Queen of Scots and the base is this writer and his siblings and cousin who are all grandchildren of Raymond Wilson Anderson.
