Biography

Elizabeth Brocket was a daughter of John Brocket and Lucy Pulter.[1] Her birth date is estimated after 1485 from her parents' marriage.

Elizabeth married twice

  • Nicholas Barrington,[2] with whom she had at least one son, John, mentioned in her will.
  • William Boughton of Cawston,[3] with whom she had at least one son, Thomas, mentioned in her will

Elizabeth was buried 26 February 1557/8 at Dunchurch, Warwickshire.[4] "Elizabeth Ladye Barrington was buried the xxvjth of february"

Elizabeth's will was dated 18 February 1557/8 and proved 2 July 1560.[5] In her will Elizabeth mentioned

Research Notes

It is not clear who the Dedicke entries in the will refer to. It is possible they link to the Dethick son's name and daughter in law of Elizabeth's grandson Edward Boughton
