History

Henry Laurens acquired the three thousand acre Mepkin Plantation outside of Charleston, SC about 1764. He also owned several other plantations. Henry Lauren married into the huge Ball plantation family, when he wed Eleanor Delamere Ball (1731-1770).[1]

In his will Henry Laurens states he writes his will from Mepkin on 1 Nov 1792.[2][3]
