Konak (Hungarian: Kanak) became a branch of the Boka parish between 1815[1] and 1820[2], which fits with the foundation of Konak, that often is stated as 1820.[3][4] Therefore Konak was one of the earlier settlements of Banat Bulgarians in the second half of the 18th century, after the "initial" foundations Beșenova Veche (Stár Bišnov 1738; currently Dudeștii Vechi) and Vinga (Tereziopol 1741), as well as Modoš (1779)[4]

Since the Meszecsov were Banat Bulgarians, it might be useful to scan the available sources for Konak for people with a matching surname.
