Died of Wounds

Description

Military personnel who Died of Wounds received in action against the enemy. These are people who were evacuated to a medical facility for treatment and died as a result of those wounds, or causes related to being wounded, i.e. infection, loss of blood, etc.

It is not for people who were wounded in non-battle conditions and died as a result of that, i.e. training accident, plane/auto crash, etc, this type of death should be entered as Died in Military Service.

Add to Profile

If you do not know the country they fought for or conflict add to the high level category by placing this line in the profile

[[Category:Died of Wounds]]

If more information is known, you can use the {{Roll of Honor}} template to display an image and short description to the profile, and add the profile to the category, cut and paste the following to the profile text below the ==Biography== section, replacing <item> with actual value:

{{Roll of Honor
| category = <Died of Wounds>, <United States of America>, <World War II>
| image = <Roll of Honor Template.jpg>
| description = <Died of Wounds from Normandy on D-Day>

Scroll down until you get to the wikitable section.

Add information below the last line of the table header (when displayed it will sort alphabetically, so where in the list you add it is not important)

Cut and paste the following to the table, replacing everything with actual values for that person:

| First/Middle Names
| Date Of Birth as DD MMM YYYY
| Date Of Death as DD MMM YYYY
