Notes
Now you can see that you can have a really basic table with no outline, or a sortable outlined table. You can add one or any of these options (sortable, outlined, colorful, extra rows). Hmm, I got your attention there, didn't I? *grins ... Yes, I said colorful. There are plenty of html color charts on the internet such as this one. You can use the slider to get to your color range, then move the circle inside the box to perfect your color. Or, you can scroll down and common colors are listed below. What you want is the code after the # sign.
Table with 'The Works'
You type this in Edit mode: (You can copy and paste this)
{|border="1" width="300" class="wikitable sortable" border="1" align="center" style="background-color:#7cc17c"
| Row 1, cell 1 || Row 1, cell 2 || Row 1, cell 3
|-
| Row 2, cell 1 || Row 2, cell 2 || Row 2, cell 3
|-
| Row 3, cell 1 || Row 3, cell 2 || Row 3, cell 3
|-
| Row 4, cell 1 || Row 4, cell 2 || Row 4, cell 3
|}
This is what it looks like:
Row 1, cell 1 | Row 1, cell 2 | Row 1, cell 3 |
Row 2, cell 1 | Row 2, cell 2 | Row 2, cell 3 |
Row 3, cell 1 | Row 3, cell 2 | Row 3, cell 3 |
Row 4, cell 1 | Row 4, cell 2 | Row 4, cell 3 |
For example:
Name | Wiki Id | Birthday |
Mindy | Silva-1055 | 20 Sep |
Eowyn | Langholf-2 | 10 May |
Karen | Finnerty-95 | 6 Dec |
I know this one looks more complicated, but break it down into each table setting:
- border= use if you want a border
- class= adds a sort function
- align= allows you to center the chart
- style= allows you to set a background color
- width= allows you to set the width
