My wife's great aunt, Miss Dora Dedert, evidently purchased a camera in the 1920s. Three rolls of film negatives survived. These photos were taken (presumably) near her home, at an unknown date. As one can see, there are farm pictures, there are people pictures, and there are other interesting topics. There might be clues in some of the photos; the photos were mailed when postage stamps were $0.015. For example, the "Harding" stamp used on two of the envelopes was first issued in 1925. "Aunt Dora," born in 1888, would have been 37 years old that year.

It has been an interesting project to convert the negatives to digital form. The **next** challenge will be to (try to) identify some of the people and places captured on film. NOTE: It is not known if any of the original photos survive.

In February 2018, the last surviving niece of Dora Louise Dedert was asked if she remembered any specific details.
