Mitchell of Drumlea, Gortin

Drumlea is a townland in Bodoney Lower civil parish, County Tyrone. It is near the village of Gortin. This is to the north-east of Omagh, west of Cookstown, and south-west of Draperstown.

• the first three people above, and Thomas father of Hamilton, are siblings.
• There was another sibling Elizabeth Mitchell m. James Moffatt, who moved to Ayrshire, Scotland; this is based on a DNA match between descendant of that couple, and descendant of Hamilton Mitchell above.

• William Mitchell (abt.1798-1875) of Ballynasollus (Derryloran parish), son of James Mitchell, farmer.
• William Mitchell (abt.1791-bef.1861) of Ballynagilly (Lissan parish), landsteward for Slaghtfreeden Estate; wife: Anne McFarlane.
• James Mitchell (bef.1782-), whose daughters lived in Claggan and Mabuoy (Lissan parish) and seems to have a connection to John Mitchell (abt.1810-1876) of Drumlea.
• Erwin Mitchell m. Sarah Fulton and they have children at Drumlea.

E.g. maybe William (abt. 1791) was originally from Drumlea and moved to Ballynagilly when appointed landsteward for Slaghtfreeden.
