Location: Trempealeau, WI
Surname/tag: Haplogroup_B2
The goal of this project is to research Native Americans who have passed the haplogroup B2 on to their children. My ancestor, Agath Dekorra, was born circa 1820 and probably died in childbirth in 1834. She married a French-Canadian fur trapper, John T. De LaRonde. I believe her only child was Marie Christine De La Ronde, born 12/25/1834. The area was called the Minnesota Territories and the family ended up in Trempealeau County, WI. Marie Christine De La Ronde appear on the Indian Rolls as Winnebago. Not sure if her original tribe is Ho-Chunk Nation or another tribe. I appreciate any help in discovering her tribe.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Sherril Moore.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Please contact me if you wish to share your maternal haplogroup information and it is a Native American haplogroup and your ancestors came from Minnesota or Wisconsin.
