This text begins with John and Sarah (Moore) Michener as they were the beginning of Micheners in America. John as a young Quaker boy managed to secure a position at Worminghurst Manor (William Penn's home). Sarah, as a result of losing both of her parents, became a ward/servant of the Penn family. They two met and then, as they say, the rest is history and they moved to America.
