Morrison Family Mysteries

I hit a brick wall on William Clark Morrison many years ago. By many, I mean twenty years. I worked with a 2nd cousin name William Clark Morrison V until he passed away. He took a Y-DNA test but actually passed away before he was able to share those results but I do know that he was put into the D Group of the Morrison DNA project. The few others who were put into this group traced their Morrison ancestor back to Alexander Morrison. Alexander's father was Archibald Morrison born circa 1710 in either Scotland or Ireland. He migrated to North Carolina and died there in 1769. My goal is to connect William Clark Morrison to Archibald Morrison. I have done extensive research on both families but both have come to a brick wall. If anyone can help, I would be elated. All of my cousins have the same information as I do.
