The goal of this project is to track down some DIRECT relatives of my Mother in Law's father's family in Canada.

My mother in law, Patricia, never knew her father, a Canadian soldier stationed in Glasgow, Scotland at the end of WW2. The family 'lore' is that Patricia's mother, Martha, was meant to return with the soldier to Canada but her family forbade her from leaving.

Through very good DNA matches using an Ancestry DNA kit I was able to locate 3 brothers who had lived in Canada, and by 'triangulating' all of the DNA links I was able to deduce that 1 of the 3 brothers was Patricia's father.

One of the DNA matches, a cousin of Patricia's, was able to supply great family information that placed only 1 of the3 brothers geographically able to physically be the father and that's how we found out that my wifes maternal Grandfather was non-other than Harold Raymond Couchman of Ontario, Canada.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

• Track down direct descendants of the other 2 Couchman brothers, George Wesley Couchman and William Lawrence Couchman, both of Ontario Canada
