NEHGR Summer 2023

Help keep WikiTree Current

Can you help update WikiTree profiles with the research published in the latest New England Historical and Genealogical Register (out November 2023)? If you can, leave a comment and specify the work you're interested in. (If you need a copy of the article, send a PM to M Cole.) The goal is to have these updates completed before the next issue expected at the end of the year.

Guidelines for updates

  • Always collaborate with the profile managers and leave a comment that you will be making updates based on recently published research. Also consider posting in g2g if multiple projects are affected and/or there would be a major change to people's ancestors.
  • Not everyone has access to AmericanAncestors. In addition to citing the article, please be sure to include the relevant text AND cite the underlying source. For example:
"1543/4 Mar 9 Thomas James and Margarett his wife hathe a daughter named Plesance" Citing Registers of Rockland St. Peter, Norfolk, 1538ff (images on ancestry.com)
  • If you can, please also add a citation with a link to the original record if it is online. (If you don't have access to Ancestry or FindMyPast, feel free to ask for help).
