Nov 1752 Walter Bryan of Edgecombe to Needham Bryan of same 20 pounds proclamation money 175 acres on Conneho Creek in Edgecombe County (AKA Conoho Swamp) bounded by Thomas Bryan’s upper line and William Bryan’s lower line being half the land purchased of Capt John Wiggins 3 Dec 1748 bounded by a line of trees between William and Needham Bryan wits William Taylor John Baker John Jones NOTE: in 1759, this land became part of Halifax County. In 1774, it became part of Martin County. Proven May court 1753[1]


16 Mar 1761 Moses Horn to Needham Bryan, both of Halifax 50 pounds for 354 acres north side Conoho Creek “on the Cypress swamp” granted 20 Apr 1745 Wits: Michael Lancaster, Jesse Bryant Proved March court 1761 NOTE: this land is now in Martin County.[2]
