Information: The cemetery is located about two miles west of downtown Nehalem, near the town of Manzanita. It is run by the City of Nehalem. For the most part, it is laid out in a series of family plots edged in concrete, stone, or some other material. The soil is very sandy. There are several wooden burial markers, and perhaps others have already rotted away. However, it appears (though I have not confirmed) that the cemetery is well-maintained and that markers that are becoming unreadable are replaced. On a recent visit (15 Dec 2019), almost all of the grave markers (of the type consisting of paper protected by a plastic sleeve inside a metal frame) appeared freshly written, many in Calligraphy.
