History

Former county hospital built in the 1800's, converted to county offices in the late 1970's. Closed shortly after mentally ill client went on a rampage killing people. Now sits abandoned and rotting. Was once a beautiful facility. Small graveyard behind the building. The cemetery is located behind the abandoned hospital and next to the Cemetery District office. There is only one remaining gravestone in the entire cemetery, for a Thomas J Burk.
