They were listed as last address of residence [| "Atlantic Park Hostel"].
John also appeared on an earlier list -- the Remuera from Southampton to New Zealand departing 20 Jul 1922. [6]. It's definitely our John since last residence "Mill Hill" is given, but Margaret does not appear to be on the list. He must have somehow left the boat after being signed in.

Remarks
It is not clear why John was at a different location on the night of the census, or why John and Margaret took a different ship to the others, or why John signed on alone to the earlier voyage but didn't carry through. Just speculating here, perhaps Margaret didn't want to go and she ran away from the 1921 voyage and so John had to stay back and try to get her on another boat? McNabb-412 04:57, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
Also the ship passenger lists do NOT say that they are Assisted Immigrant ships.
