Founded in 1892 with the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End.
This Freespace page is being constructed as a template for football clubs to be used in conjunction with the Wikitree categorisation system. It is hoped eventually every club will have a page like this managed by a supporter of that club.
Its purpose is to collect individuals with a connection to Newcastle United in one place for genealogical research, or to make them easier to find on Wikitree.
It is linked to from a general "Football Clubs" freespace page which appears in Wikitree categories for footballers. The index system will work better if individual club pages are not categorised as that will make the index page harder to find.
