General Description

Newport Street, more correctly known simply as Newport, approximately 325 metres (356 yards) long in an East-West direction, ran from Fleetgate at it's western end to Queens Avenue/Queen Street at its eastern end. It was largely residential, with a small number of shops, and also the main cinema in Barton upon Humber.

Houses had even numbers on the north side of the street, with low numbers at the eastern end.
