1609 Jean Nesbit Jean (Nisbet) Baillie (abt.1590-abt.1650) heir of father William portionarius de Newtounleyis (Retours of Heirs) iv 234 #49 She married Sir James Baillie of Flemingtoun & Lochend, of uncertain parentage and ancestry,[1] acquired the lands of Lochend with the manor and lochs, in the constabularly of Haddington, from Robert Boig of Lochend for which he had a conjunct charter under the Great Seal to himself and Jean Nisbet, his wife, and the heirs whatsoever of their marriage, which failing, by his heirs whatsoever, dated 7 June 1614.[2] He held a number of royal appointments including those of Receiver of Rents; a member of the King's Privy Council and a Senator of the College of Justice. He m. at Edinburgh on 27 April 1609, to Jean, daughter and heiress of William Nisbet of Newtonlees,[3] and d. after 4 July 1635 and by 26 November following. He was father of
