This page is currently under construction. More will be added here soon.

Both templates and stickers usually create an image+text on the profile and sometimes also adds a category to a profile.

Since the sub-projects Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden already have templates and stickers created, those will be continued to use for each country.

Templates and stickers used on Nordic profiles

Templates

Templates should be added above the text section of the edit page, i.e. above the Biography headline.

These templates add the profile to a category. They should always be added above the Biography heading.

The examples of project boxes, as can be seen above, is a template that should only be used on profiles that have any of the country sub-projects as manager. These profiles will be listed in the category page for the specific (sub-)project.

If you think a profile would benefit from having a project as manager, please let us know. (There will also be a profile box made for the Nordic Project a bit later on.)

Unsourced Template

This profile lacks source information. Please add sources that support the facts.
Using the Unsourced Template on a profile results in the box shown above being added to the profile. It can also be used for an unsourced profile to be added to the list of unsourced profiles for a specific country.
As an example, using {{Unsourced|Sweden}} would add the orange box and text above to the profile, as well as adding the profile to the Category: Sweden, Unsourced Profiles .
The country "Sweden" can be exchanged with any of the other Nordic countries. Currently, there are unsourced categories for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Please add {{Unsourced|Country of choice}} to the profile, above the == Biography == heading.

Stickers

Profile Stickers go in the text section of the edit page, below the Biography headline. There should be no extra hard returns above or below it, and no horizontal rules (----).
They are usually placed directly below the Biography headline, but they can be placed anywhere in the biography section, such as near where the information being highlighted is discussed. They are usually grouped together but they can be spread out.
They should not be placed in or below the Sources section.

Country Sticker
Danish Native
... ... ... was born in Denmark
Finland
... ... ... lived in Finland.
Flag of Iceland
... ... ... lived in Iceland.
Norwegian Native
... ... ... was born in Norway
Sweden
... ... ... lived in Sweden
These are the stickers available for people who was either born or living in any of these Nordic countries. For example, the Swedish one is to be used on profiles who lived and died in Sweden.
They can be used on a profile by adding {{Danish Native}} {{Finland Sticker}} {{Iceland Sticker}} {{Norway Native}} {{Sweden Sticker}}
For Finland, you can also choose the language for the sticker. For a biography in Finnish, please use
Finland
... ... ... asui Suomessa.
by adding {{Finland Sticker|lang=fi}} and for a biography in Swedish, please use
Finland
... ... ... levde i Finland.
{{Finland Sticker|lang=sv}}
It should always be added below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading.

Roots Sticker
Danish Roots
... ... ... has Danish ancestors
Finland
... ... ... has Finnish ancestors.
Flag of Iceland
... ... ... has Icelandic ancestors.
Norwegian Roots
... ... ... has Norwegian ancestors
Swedish Roots
... ... ... has Swedish ancestors
The Roots sticker may be used for any non-resident of the specifik Nordic country who has been identified as having ancestry from that country, including active WikiTree members.
It can be used on a profile by adding any of these stickers; {{Danish Roots}} {{Finnish_Roots}} {{Icelandic Roots}} {{Norway_Roots}} {{Swedish Roots}}
The sticker should always be added below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading.

Notables Sticker
Notables Project
... ... ... is Notable.
The Notables sticker can be used with the country added to it. The country will not be seen in the sticker text but it will add the profile to the category of notables for that country. For example, this {{Notables Sticker|Sweden, Notables}} will add the profile to Category: Sweden, Notables.
It should always be added below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading.

Nobility Sticker
European Aristocracy
... ... ... was a member of the aristocracy in Sweden.
The EuroAristo sticker can be used with the country added to it. However, this will not add the profile to any category since the profile should be added to the category for the house the profile belong to.
It can be used on a profile by adding {{EuroAristo Sticker|place=Sweden}} It should always be added below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading.

Migrating Ancestor
The migrating sticker can be used on the profiles of Nordic emigrants (or immigrants). It will not add the profile to any category.
Flag of Sweden
... ... ... migrated from Sweden to Minnesota, USA.
Flag of Minnesota, USA
This is an example of how it can be used on a profile by adding;
{{Migrating Ancestor
|origin= Sweden
|destination= Minnesota, USA
|origin-flag= Swedish_Flags-41.png
|destination-flag= US_Flags-20.png}}
It should always be added below the == Biography == heading and above the == Sources == heading. Be sure to not leave out {{ and }} in the beginning and end.
