Thanks, many of these sources were on there and just have to be reformatted. The units are posted under the counties from where the soldiers were drawn to help members identify whether or not a Civil War record belongs to their ancestor or someone else with the same name which is a problem for N.C.

This page is still needing reconstruct. I will get to it tomorrow. I’ve been working off or an iPhone but my new laptop has been completed by IT

North Carolina Archives ncdcr.gov Read letters to and from soldiers during the course of the war. Examine published regimental histories. Search related state documents and selected governors' correspondence and letter books. A growing number of resources relating to the Civil War are being digitized by the North Carolina State Archives and the Government & Heritage Library at the State Library of North Carolina and are made available through the North Carolina Digital Collections for historians, researchers, students, genealogists and other interested parties.
