Perpetual Help Church of Holyoke Massachusetts started Notre Dame Cemetery on April 29 1892. In 1890 the Perpetual Help Church had started as a parish and then built a church on Prospect Street in Holyoke. By 1923 the church had moved to Chestnut Street in Holyoke. Immaculate Conception Church of Holyoke was a mission church of Perpetual Help Church and has its burials here too. Any seeming burials before 1892 are actually just cenotaphs with the actual burials being in the Precious Blood Cemetery of South Hadley.
