Welcome to the Orphan Trail Part Two
Welcome back to the Orphan Trail.
The Orphan Trail Part Two (OT2) covers English profiles for the period 1500-1699. It is divided into two stages: 1600-1699 (stage 1) and 1500-1599 (stage 2). It is an important step for anyone wishing to go on to Orphan Trail Part Three.
As before, you will be assigned a Trailblazer to help you on your journey. This may be the same Trailblazer you worked with in OT1, or may be a different Trailblazer.
What you will be doing
You will be sourcing and improving a number of unsourced profiles of people who lived in England between 1500-1699. This will include writing a biography for each profile.
You will choose profiles to work on using a preformatted search on WikiTree Plus. There are two preformatted searches, one for each stage of OT2. You will begin in Stage 1 (1600-1699), then progress to Stage 2 (1500-1599). You can find links to the preformatted searches on the 1500-1699 Resources Page.
Once you have chosen a profile that meets the requirements (set out on the Resources Page), send the WikiTree ID to your Trailblazer. They will check it is suitable and set it up for you to work on.
What will be covered?

- An introduction to reading old handwriting
- Using templates, categories and stickers, such as {{Estimated Date}}
