Obermonjou (Krivovka, Kriwowskoje), (Ней-Обермонжу),
a German Roman Catholic colony, established on the Öst "Wiesenseite" or east "meadow side" of the Volga River on the 7th of June 1767. The colony was founded by the Crown's recruiter Baron Caneau de Beauregard. It was originally part of the Katharinenstadt parish.
