Old Georgetown Cemetery in findagrave.com

The Old Georgetown Cemetery, also known as San Gabriel Cemetery, and Blue Hole Cemetery, is located on the North Fork of the San Gabriel River in Georgetown TX, in Williamson County. It is adjacent to the Blue Hole Park, a popular swimming site in downtown Georgetown. This cemetery was in use in from about 1840 to 1902, and contains a lot of the pioneers and early prominent Georgetown residents. There are approximately 95 graves here.

Notably, this cemetery contains not only the maintained, orderly graves of carved headstones, but also a small section on the other side of the service road containing a seemingly haphazard arrangement of graves marked with small, white metal crosses. These crosses have no names of the deceased on them, and are in a sparsely wooded area.
