Background

Netherlands' 1st appearance at the Olympics was at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Netherlands has competed at all the Summer Games except for in 1904. Netherlands first appeared at the Winter Olympics in 1928, and has competed at all the Winter Games except for in 1932. Netherlands has won a total of 469 medals, including 148 gold medals. Netherlands has been most dominant in speed skating, winning a total of 133 medals in that sport alone. ^[1][2]

This is an ongoing project to ensure that all Olympians who represented Netherlands are on Wikitree.

Process

2. Add specific categories

3. Add Olympic Movement Sticker and add text for sport and specific Olympic Games. e.g. represented Netherlands in Tennis in the Paris Olympics of 1924.
