Olympics - Team Montenegro

Background

Until 1992, Montenegro was a republic in the nation of Yugoslavia.

Montenegrin athletes competed for Yugoslavia and, later, Serbia and Montenegro. They had won medals mostly in team sports: basketball, football, handball, volleyball and water polo. The country seceded from Serbia in late 2006, and was elected into the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on 6 July 2007 at the IOC Session in Guatemala. It has since competed at all Olympic and Olympic Winter Games. ^[1]

This is an ongoing project to ensure that all Olympians who represented Montenegro are on Wikitree.
