In July of 2019 I had the opportunity to photograph pages from a family album owned by a first cousin, once removed. A number of these pages were a typewritten document given to my cousin by a cousin of hers, Opal Howey.

As noted on Opal's profile page (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Howey-239) she was "...a relentless researcher on her family lines." I am a part of Opal's family line and I would like to use these pages as source information for adding a number of my ancestors to WikiTree.

I had the pleasure of corresponding with cousin Opal on several occasions. She was 'old-school' and I always felt that if Opal had researched something, it would been thoroughly tested before she would repeat her findings. I was given credit for some information in Jean Fairchild Gilmore's second book on the Fairchild family but it was Opal that had passed that information to me. She was also fiercely proud of her Loyalist and Huguenot heritage. I miss her.
