Orchard Pond Plantation
Orchard Pond, owned by Richard Keith Call (abt.1792-abt.1862), is located between Lake Jackson and the Ochlockonee River in northwestern Leon County, Florida. It originally consisted of 8754 acres. By 1860 it consisted of 1300 worked acres, and 2544 acres of unimproved land. It was valued at $31,000. The main crops were corn and cotton.[1]

Richard K. Call's estate inventory calls his plantation the Lake Jackson Plantation in his probate papers.[2] [3][4] [3]
Richard's will called for a division of the approximately 194 enslaved persons between his two daughters:
Mrs T. W. Brevard, Schedule "A", received 97 enslaved persons from the Lake Jackson Plantation (Orchard Pond Plantation).[5]
