NEW PROJECT

Identify Overstreet DNA matches

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Mary Ellen Alvis.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • Share DNA marker 67 & above details
  • Share source information for matches
  • Share family history

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

Leslie Overstreet, my husband, has been researching his family history through DNA and archives for over thirty years. We believe his ancestry goes back to John Overstreet who received a land deed in Cumberland, North Carolina in 1750. John was an American Revolution Patriot.

We have many stories and histories as well as many sources including the 1750 land deed. We still hope to find more documentation and proofs. We hope you will join the Overstreet Roots Project If you have a connected ancestor.

Overstreet DNA is from Leslie James Overstreet who has completed the 100 marker DNA Ancestry test. I have coordinated information from several exact matches. Leslie is my husband and we would like to share information with you if you are interested in participating in this project.
