Introduction
The goal of this project is to assist others, whose common ancestors originated from the region near Pabbay in the Outer Hebrides Islands of Scotland. Last names include MacLeod,/McLeod, MacLellan/McLellan, MacLean/McLean, MacDonald/McDonald, MacIver/McIver.
The descendants of these ancestors may reside in Scotland or have immigrated to Nova Scotia and Australia. With the advent of DNA testing, finding connections is much easier. The last names of many individuals from this region are not particularly common, so building your own family tree connection to them should be easier given the open source, collaborative, shared organization of wikitree.
