Inquirer (Perth, WA : 1840 - 1855), Wednesday 4 May 1853, page 2
Arrival of the Palestine and the Pyrenees from England.

SINCE our last, the above vessels have arrived from England. The Palestine (466 tons) left England on the 30th December, experienced a stormy passage, put in at the Cape, where she remained three days, taking in a supply of water, and arrived here on the 28th instant.

She conveys 223 immigrants, men, women, and children, under the charge of Surgeon Superintendent Charles Cooper. The Queen of the South and Adelaide steamers arrived at the Cape during the stay of the Palestine, and brought news to the 15th Feb., but the captain did not bring any papers (Cape or English.)
