I have found most all records on Katherine HULL have her birth name as HULL, Another record has WINEGARDNER and CLINE. I have yet to find a birth certificate at Harpers Ferry, VA (or West VA) 1796..Died 31 October 1879. I am the daughter of Lillie Homer Pardee, Velma

Lillie Mae Homer Pardee: Researcher. Letter dated 27 Sept. 1991 Writes:

"In the bible of Mary Collins of Pasadena, CA she had the following: Katherine had an older sister, Mary Evannah (Mary Collins was named for her) and a younger brother John.

When Katherine was about 3 years old, her parents were both killed in an accident. Katherine was adopted by a German family, the other two children went into other families. By the time Katherine was of marriageable age, this family was in Penn. Where she married a young German immigrant and moved to Ohio" She told us she did not know if HULL was Katherine's birth name or the name of the couple who adopted her.

In as much as George Adam and Katherine named one of their children "Joseph Berringer Killinger" I feel it could be possible that "Berringer" was the birth name. Some time and correspondence to Berringer people did not give us any information.

Correspondence and research on HULL in Penn. and other places have been no help. Lillie Pardee.
