According to Kristyn Harman 2017 Cleansing the Colony (p. 91), on 24 October 1842, 57 boys from Parkhurst Prison arrived on the St George when it docked in Auckland. Harman also states that at least 1,499 boys were transported to WA, VDL and NZ. The 57 boys on the St George were recorded as 39 tailors and 18 shoemakers. Those 35 boys considered to have completed their apprenticeships were treated as free immigrants with the 22 others apprentices still needing more time to complete.

The Mandarin arrived on 17 November 1843 with 22 boys from Parkhurst (p. 97). This was the second and last group of Parkhurst boys to arrive in New Zealand. Tony Haigh
