Lawrence and Elieze Parnell's 50th wedding anniversary, celebrated in Somerset, Wisconsin on July 7th, 1930.
In 1930, Lawrence and Elieze celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, with over 100 persons in attendance. The full day celebration included a renewal of vows with nephew Father Dennis Parnell officiating the wedding mass. Directly after mass there were official photographs, and a reception at the Parnell home. Next, a formal dinner at the nearby Terrace restaurant, followed by a program including speeches and musical numbers. Presentation of gifts was next, and socializing, after which a buffet dinner was served, then the dance with 7 piece band. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.
