About the Project

The Parr Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Parr name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Parr name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Parr's), by time period (18th Century Parr's), or by topic (Parr DNA, Parr Occupations, Parr Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

I've added you as a member to this page. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

To join another study, you would need to determine if the study exists yet, and then do the same as you did here. If you want to send me a private message with the surname you're interested in, you can do that from my profile.

Way down at the bottom of this page, under all the comments, you'll see a Categories section. Click on Parr Name Study, and it will take to you a list of any profiles that have been added so far. The study has been inactive for some time, so I don't think there's been a lot of work done yet.

Hi R

Welcome to WikiTree. The first thing you would need to do, in order to participate on in the study, would be to upgrade your WikiTree account, and sign the Honor Code. You should have a comment on your own profile from a greeter with instructions on how to do that. Then I can get you added to the study as a member.
