Peak Hill is a small town on the Newell Highway, 50km north of Parkes and 70km south of Dubbo. The Cemetery is 3.5km north of the town on the western side of the highway. The Cemetery is administered by the Parkes Shire Council.
Peak Hill Cemetery comprises several denominational portions - Anglican, Assembly of God, Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and Uniting. Monuments date from 1890. In the central avenue a cenotaph has been erected on which are inscribed the names those who served in both World Wars.
