People who have committed suicide off the Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was opened 19 Mar 1932. [[1]]

The first and second persons to commit suicide off the Sydney Harbour bridge were thought to happened in quick succession. 25 Apr 1932.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]}

William James Lewis jumped to his death on Sunday 24 Apr 1932. He was 49 years of age, and an Imperial Service Pensioner with no relatives in Sydney at the time.^[8][9][10]

The first woman to jump from the bridge was Mrs Elma Elks (Mrs Alberta Joyce Ellks), aged 24 years. She was married to Rupert Edward Ellks. She died after jumping on 25 Jun 1932. It was reported that she was officially the 3rd person to have died from jumping. There was another man whose body was never recovered and the report was not verified.^{[11][12][13][14]}
