Biography
The Person Plantation property begins with a deed of purchase by Duncan Cameron in 1824.[1] As the name suggests it was located in Person Co, NC. The Person county plantation was owned by Duncan Cameron and after his death, owned by his son Paul C. Cameron. They co-ran it in the early days. In Dec of 1834 Duncan Cameron transferred the properties in Person Co, NC to his son, Paul C. Cameron.[2]
The Cameron family owned a mill in Person county as well. There were not very many enslaved persons who worked at the mill site, so the mill information is also included on this page.
There were several Cameron owned plantations in Person Co, NC.
