At 48, he passed away in 1849 in Lansing and was buried in the Oak Park Cemetery. His headstone was placed with a simple message. (Peter J Weller, Died Dec 26, 1849, 48 years, 8 mo & 22 days).
The Friends of Lansing's Historic Cemeteries set up a dedication ceremony on Sunday, 26, Sep, 2021.
