One summer, Danny built a deck for the pool and front entrance. Prior to this, we had to remove an old Indian roundhouse that was there. Multi-level and full of old junk from previous owners of the property, it took a long time to tear down. Mom had many a bonfire going that summer!
This property lays over part of the Barlow Road, which is an offshoot of the Oregon Trail. As kids, we spent a lot of time adventuring there. One summer Sean and I found an old headstone that we alerted the Oregon City Historical Society to.
Since both Mom and Ron worked at the Sauvie Island Nursery (tree), we planted an orchard out by the shop. Not only fruit trees were there but berry bushes were set up there as well! Above the shop was the big garden.

One summer, when Grandpa Frank Peasley had his mobile home on the property, mom and he both planted enough tomatoes for both families (without the others knowledge) so we had a ton of tomatoes! At one point the living room floor was covered in them!
