A search of old albums, memory boxes, cards and letters resulted in a find with pleasant ripples of discoveries. What started twenty years ago by three cousins continues with the next generation of (mostly retired) distant cousins (Marit, Kristi, and ?) fascinated by the family's history.

The photo "Picnic at Small's Farm, ca. 1921" received a lot of attention.

Josephine Dyer Olney is one of the central figures. She is #20 in the photo and the hand written identification sheet has "Josie Dyer Olney" as her name. Photos and notes were all part of her or her descendants' collections.

Very good scans and prints were done at a commercial print shop for this project. That work and coordination was done by Franklin Pudas, husband of Marit Josephine Running Pudas.

This free-space area is an area to collect the notes, images, inputs, charts, comments and other things in a central location. The girls' project generated much more than lines on a family tree chart. Doll houses were built to replicate family homes. Contacts with distant relatives were established where none previously existed. One can only imagine how much bigger it could have been had they used the internet even a SMALL amount back around 2001.
