This cemetery is also called 'Coloma Protestant Cemetery', 'Sutter's Mill Cemetery' and 'Vineyard House Cemetery'. This graveyard is mainly filled with persons related to the 49er gold discovery episode in California history. The cemetery contains an estimated 400-500 graves. Many of the graves are unmarked and the headstones have long since disappeared. The oldest existing gravestone is dated 1850. It is located near the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.
