The goal of this project is to create profiles for the priests and bishops listed in the book Pioneer Priests on the Plains: in Tribute and Gratitude to the Diocesan Priests and Bishops Who Selflessly Labored in Southern Kansas by Father Dwight J. Birket, the Catholic Advance Press, Wichita, Kansas, 2003.

A copy of this volume can be found in the Special Collections area of the Wichita Public Library, Wichita, Kansas, under call number R 282.09 BIR. The pages are unnumbered and the profiles are arranged by the month and day of their death.

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Michelle Enke.
