  2. researching and adding the Victims of the flood
  3. Find as many victims as possible from newspaper articles
  4. Honor their memories by making a Biography for each and everyone
  5. Find sources, like headstones, or monuments.

Another possible victim, but unfortunately no further record:

Pittsburgh Daily Post, 01 Aug 1874, page 9

"It is reported that a little child named Lander was drowned in a house that was swept away in Skunk Hollow"

RE: Minnie Wolting

This is possibly Minnie Nolting

Pittsburgh Daily Commerical, 30 July 1874, page 4 "Butcher's Run.. Minnie Noltig"

Pittsburgh Daily Post, 01 Aug 1874, page 9

"Minnie Nolting, aged thirteen years, recovered yesterday morning, to be buried at nine o'clock this morning"

I think this *might be Mary Nolting, daughter of Frank Nolting and Charlotte Katluhn

Name: Frank Nolting Age in 1870: 40 Birth Year: abt 1830 Birthplace: Prussia Dwelling Number: 65 Home in 1870: Reserve, Allegheny, Pennsylvania Race: White Gender: Male Post Office: Perrysville Occupation: Laborer Father of Foreign Birth: Y Mother of Foreign Birth: Y Inferred Spouse: Charlotta Nolting Inferred Children: Mary Nolting Frank Nolting William Nolting Household Members: Name Age Frank Nolting 40 Charlotta Nolting 30 Mary Nolting 10 Frank Nolting 8 William Nolting 6

In the 1880 census, Mary is missing:

Name: Frank Nolting Age: 52 Birth Date: Abt 1828 Birthplace: Prussia Home in 1880: Glenfield, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA Dwelling Number: 130 Race: White Gender: Male Relation to Head of House: Self (Head) Marital status: Married Spouse's name: Charlotte Nolting Father's Birthplace: Prussia Mother's Birthplace: Prussia Occupation: Fruit Raiser Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age Frank Nolting 52 Charlotte Nolting 40 Frank Nolting 18 Henry Nolting 5 Lina Nolting 1

In the 1900 census, Charlotte reports having 5 children, 4 living. Children Frank, William, Henry, and Lena were all alive in 1900.

Frank and Charlotte are buried at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Pittsburgh
