This is a LINK to the Archive.org / Boston Public Library Digitized version of the book: "Pound and Kester Families". This version is a photo of each page, that you can flip through, page by page.. (IT IS PHOTOS OF EACH PAGE, FROM FRONT COVER TO BACK COVER.)

This is a LINK to the Google digital full text version of the book: "Pound and Kester Families". Just need to let you know that Google did a great job, but there are a lot of typo's, so please double check another version of the book for typo corrections.. (IT IS TYPED UP TEXT OF THE BOOK, DONE BY THE GREAT GOOGLE FOLKS - But take heed to my note above about typo's.) (Side note ... you can click on the link "SEE OTHER FORMATS" in the upper right, and switch to real page view, just like the link above from Boston Library.)

If you are working on the genealogy of a Pound or Kester, this book is for you. As noted in the title it starts with the two folks listed, but does have a history of them prior to their births. The book was published in 1904, so it has the lines of the two folks listed above and their descendants all the way up to 1904. The compiler of this book, Mr. John Eddy Hunt, is listed in the book, as his family is included within the books genealogy. Mr. Hunt did an outstanding job of putting together the information included in this book, I can just imagine the file system he would of had to have back in his day. (Remember folks, no computers back then.)

I put the main three families in the three TAGS spaces above (Pound, Kester, Hunt). But there are a ton of collateral families, the main ones: Carr, Drake, Ferguson, Lacock, Liston, Moore, Paddock, Reed, Siner, Stark, Thomas, and Welch. In the back of the book there is an index of all names!

You can purchase a printed copy of this book from most book sellers, and most all of the web sites selling items. I have found "New" copies of the book in softbound and hardbound for as low as $16.99 ... and as high as $150.00. The normal in 2016 is $35.00-$45.00, last time I checked. I purchased an original copy of the book in a used book store back in the early 1980's, and in the 1990's I purchased a hardbound newly printed copy from one of the only two book sellers at the time, for $65.00.

If you have problems looking things up in the online versions linked above, (you should not), but if you do, please just contact me and I can look up whatever you may need. Virgil M. Kester III. I have an original print, I have two reprints (one is on my desk at all times), I have it on DVD, CD, photocopied copy my mother did from a relatives original copy, two sided photocopy from Library of Congress (Back in the early 1980's you could not find this book anywhere, I obtained a copy from the Library of Congress) ...

Thank you for putting this together, Virgil! It's a great resource and this is an excellent summary. I appreciate all your work on the Kester and related families. :)
