Presela/Priscilla

24 April 2017:
1. Priscilla Searle-145 b 1 June 1558 in Bristol, where a father Christopher would only have been 13. Hmmm... [parent relationship backed up only by unsourced genealogies]
PM: Patsy Franklin and Patti Sjerven
Main source: "House of Pitt: A Family Chronicle" by Tresham Lever

2. Priscilla Searle-734 b 1565 in Hayle, Cornwall, so father Christopher would have been 20 (quite possible) and it's rather far away [parent relationship backed up only by unsourced genealogies]
PM: Patsy Franklin
Main source: "House of Pitt: A Family Chronicle" by Tresham Lever

3. Presela Searle-871 chr 11 Sep 1583 in Honiton, Devon, so father Christopher would have been 38 (quite possible).
PM: England Project
Main source: This was the one I sourced, and was in the Honiton baptism register (saw the FindMyPast scan myself). [parent relationship backed up by original parish baptism register]

I would go with #3; father b Ottery St Mary, mother b Honiton

Proposed in 2017:
1. Unlink the parents from Searle-145 [parent relationship backed up only by unsourced genealogies] and unlink the husband Thomas [Pitt-82] - DONE

2. Unlink the parents from Searle-734 [parent relationship backed up only by unsourced genealogies] and unlink the husband Thomas [Pitt-82] - DONE

3. DO NOT MERGE Searle-734 into Searle-145, as they are obviously different Priscillas

4. Link Searle-871 and Pitt-82 as husband and wife - DONE

The Couples

Couple 1: Thomas PITTS (Pitts-2192) b 1555 Bristol and married Priscilla SEARLE (Searle-665) b 1558 Bristol, son William b 1593 Bristol - completely separate from the other couple because all in Bristol; however, couple is unsourced.
PM: Larry Smith
Main source: can be considered unsourced

Couple 2: Thomas PITT (Pitt-82) b 1555 Blandford, Dorset married Presela SEARELL (Searle-871) bap 1583 Honiton, Devon, sons Christopher, Edward, William, John, Robert all born Blandford.
PMs: England Project
Main source: parish registers

Couple 2 and a half: same couple as Couple 2, with same Wiki-IDs, same dates, same locations, same sons - but with girls added: Anne (b unknown place), Mary (b unknown place), Mary (born Wiltshire). Note that the girls are not mentioned by name in any of the transcribed wills, although bequests to nieces and nephews may indicate that the girls existed and married into another surname.

Couple 3: Nobody Yet and Priscilla SEARLE b 1565 - she is from Hayle, Cornwall. There are several research notes on her profile.
PM: Patsy Franklin
Main source: "House of Pitt: A Family Chronicle" by Tresham Lever

Proposed in 2020:
1. PPP Presela Searell and have her managed by the England Project - DONE

2. Investigate and source the mysterious Anne, Mary and Mary. If they exist and fit within the family, then Couple 2 and Couple 2 1/2 meld into one without the need for merging. This may include tracing them via their children who are mentioned in grandfather's will.

The father and son belong in a lineage that has been established. A different spouse appears to apply: possibly Maud Pycke, per the research of Helen (Coleman) Ford, not yet created. A merge is pending as of now between the two Thomas Pitt profiles, with the master profile being Pitt-1381.

The Presela married to Thomas of Blandford is what I think is the 'right' one. (She is the one from Honiton.) People are trying to merge her back with the one from Bristol and the one from Hayle. Thank you for the link to the Blandford-and-Bristol page.
